I'm so thrilled to share the exciting news I'll soon be working with the Melbourne Based company called Messy Veggies to do reviews on all the vegan options here in Adelaide at Vegan and Non-Vegan Restaurants and Cafes to show off the options and what Adelaide has to offer!
If you haven't checked out there website or YouTube channel links are below! Website: Messyveggies.com YouTube: Messy Veggies Facebook: Messy Veggies Instagram: @Messy.Veggies I was very lucky to be asked to attend Plant B Life’s Unique Cooking Demonstration Dinner with Huda Al Sultan (Master-chef Star, Dietitian, Mum of 3, Co-owner of Sassi Vegan Ice Cream) with my Photography. Never been to Plant B Life which I was planning on visiting one day myself as it looked like such a lovely cafe but to be part of a Cooking Dinner with Huda Al Sultan From Master-Chef and makes one of Adelaide's best vegan ice cream Sassi Ice cream it came to me as a shock but also honor and I couldn’t believe it!
Huda did such an amazing interactive dining experience with her 4 course NEW meals, as she not only shared the recipes, how to make them all, but the stories and her own personal family life about all the memories each food gave her and it bought back such happy thoughts to of my own. No matter were we are in the world, how big or small our families are there is always joy and memories made around food, made me feel more grateful for what I had growing up with my mum and nana learning to cook in the kitchen. The food was delicious nothing skipped on the flavor and its given me a new love and search for middle eastern cuisine! You could taste the love and true traditional homemade flavor and love in each meal, I don’t think you’ll find again in any other restaurant if you tried. If you want REAL tastes and experience the middle east without leaving Australia THIS IS IT! HUDA KNOWS WHATS UP! (Just wanna say though I can no longer buy Hummus from the stores after trying Huda’s homemade recipe, she ruined it for me with how good hers was I cant settle for less now!) One of my favorite meals would have to be the unique desert of fruit (berries and melon) with rose water and mint with Huda’s aka Sassii ice cream it was truly divine! Still dreaming of it! Will never forget this experience and i feel so grateful to be part of it, i had such an amazing time taking photos, learning so much about new foods and the culture of the middle east + making some new friends to! 100% would go back in a heart beat! My Photography from the whole event is here if you'd love to look at it: Middle Eastern Plant Based Masterclass
I was lucky enough this year to work with part of the Photography group at the Gincident Event held at Harts Mill down near Port Adelaide. This was the first Gin event I've ever been to and 100% will be going back again even if Im not doing Photography! It was such a blast, I never drink and don't really like alcohol at all but I still has so much fun and a few sips. The People, Food and Music was overall just a happy vibe and the tipsy ones were a whole new laugh! Really do recommend going to events like this even if your not that much in to drinking!
Here is the link to all my photos from the Gincident Event Im gonna start this off and say Plant 4 Bowden would have to be one of my favorite little hang outs, coffee catch ups and friend meet up places in Adelaide. If you have never visited Bowden id highly recommend it with family and friends for a lunch, dinner or one of there markets! Bowden is a funky little eatery place that also has markets and events on and this night it was holding a complete Plant Based (Vegan) event with amazing plant based eateries, craft beer, wine, delicious cocktails featuring local distilleries, a unique selection of handmade shopping stalls, plenty of kid's activities, music and a overall amazing warm atmosphere with really friendly people.
Check out all the photos from the day HERE on my photography page!
The Vegan Festival one of the most wonderful days of the year, cause when being a vegan is more magical cause you dont have to worry about what to eat or if it might be crossed with animal products (also the day all your friends are in the one location). Ive been to the Adelaide vegan Festival the past 4 years and I honestly think this year was the biggest its ever been! So many new stalls, more food options, workshops, speakers it was honestly very overwhelming I think it should go for a week! I volunteered this year to do the photography on both days (wish I did it the other years to) It was so much fun as it made me really walk around take everything in and snap everything to! I ended up buying the Show-bag they were offering and which I personally think was way worth $25 (It including a Vegan Festival Bag, Candle by Natio, Vegan Fruchocs by Menz (chocolate covered apricots), Vegan Egg by Organ, Vegan Dog and Cat Food by VeganPet, Reusable Food Wrap by Wrappa, Notebook and Card by Earth Greetings + Heaps of food vouchers to local vegan restaurants)! I also bought myself a tank top from "In The Soul-shine" as they had a huge stall set up and ive been wanting a shirt from them for ages! Honestly i could of bought so much as there was so many new products and stalls it was really overwhelming as I said before! On sunday the last day of the vegan festival my family came along and also brought my doggy along as dogs are welcome at the festival to! oh i also forgot to say I got my face painting and a henna tattoo cause im a adult like that! Also ill share some photos from the vegan festival but I have them all uploaded in my Photography page which ill link RIGHT HERE. Be sure to check out where ever you are in the world for a vegan festival as i know most places including USA, UK, Canada, Europe, Sweden, Africa, Japan, Israel, India, Mexico and Thailand all have vegan festivals on in all parts of there cities and states! Its amazing to see and try new products, listen and meet new people and not feel so alone and make new friends.
